Evidence shows that children who can read fluently and can perform the text, bringing to life the author's intent, have good comprehension. We want all our pupils to speak up with confidence and articulate their opinion well. We want our pupils to read automatically and unconsciously when they leave our school so that they enter high school ready to take on the secondary curriculum.
