Year 1 History
Independent writing in year 1, writing about past events on the theme of The Great Fire of London.
Year 1 is an exciting time for our young historians. They begin the year in Autumn term by making comparisons between their lives and that of children in the 1950s, looking to answer their theme question of how toys have changed. In the Spring term, children think about school and how school was different in the past through a study of Victorian schools. The summer term looks at causes and effects by answering the key question: what caused the Great Fire of London?
