Pupil Premium and Catch up Funding

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

St Antony’s R.C. Primary School
Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is allocated to schools under the terms of Section 14 of the Education Act 2002.

The Pupil Premium provides additional funding on top of the main funding a school receives. It is targeted at students from disadvantaged backgrounds to ensure they benefit from the same opportunities as their peers.

In the 2024-2025  financial year, schools will receive funding for each primary-aged pupil registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years. Schools will also receive funding for each looked-after pupil who has been looked after for 1 day or more, was adopted from care on or after 30th December 2005, or left care under a special guardianship or residence order.

Pupils whose parents are in the armed services are also entitled to a Service Premium.

At St Antony’s school there were 96 children with entitlement to Pupil Premium funds for the financial year 2023-2024. This represents over 46% of pupils currently on roll.
