Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Part of our Sports Premium funding has gone towards funding highly qualified and expert coaches to aid our curriculum time and extra-curricular delivery within PE and school sport. One of our aims is to give every child every possible opportunity to experience the widest possible variety of sports and activities from basic level trough to elite competition. We have a solid working relationship with various elite clubs in various sports such as Wigan Warriors (rugby), Blackburn Rovers (football), British Gymnastics, Netball England and now even Jacksonville Jaguars (American football). Throughout the school year, we offer a wide variety of lunch time and after-school clubs in order to offer our children a chance to hone their talents and skills in a broad range of sports and activities.

Our Daily Mile track was painted in 2017 using Sports Premium funding.

9 laps of the track marks 1 mile. All of our children complete the Daily Mile mid-afternoon. On Fridays, teachers time the speed that children complete their mile with the aim that they try to beat their personal best the following week!
