Year 4 Ribchester Trip - Autumn 2023

Our year 4 historians consider invasion and change. In Autumn term, a study of the Roman's develops understanding of how a lasting impact was made on Britain and how invasions took place, learning s supported by a visit to Ribchester and the Roman museum and remains. In Spring term, the concept of change is considered through study of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. In Summer term the children think about the textile industry and how it shaped Blackburn as their local area, this is complimented by a trip to Helmshore Textile Museum.
