The Pupil Chaplains led us on a journey with Jesus to the cross. There was prayer, relfection and sacred silence. On entry to the hall, each child picked up a small, wooden heart. As we left the hall, they left their wooden heart and their private prayers at the foot of the cross. 

We sang:

When I think about the cross, when I think of Jesus, I'm reminded of his love, love that never leaves us. Who am I? That he should die, giving life so freely. When I think about the cross, help me to believe.
